Our client based in Canton, MA, is a leading supplier of food processing and packaging equipment. Our client is looking for an experienced Vice President of Digital Transformation to oversee the IT organization and drive strategic digital transformation projects throughout the Company.  The V.P. of Digital Transformation will be an expert in CRM and work flow automation implementations, specifically Microsoft Dynamics. The selected candidate must be a leader with exceptional customer-service skills and be able to build bridges between IT and other divisions in the company. Most importantly, the selected candidate must be comfortable with managing IT projects,establishing achievable project plans/timelines, and delivering on deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify ways in which the technology will serve the company’s mission to provide better customer service by better enabling the sales and service organizations

  • Provide hands-on leadership for the IT team at and manage all vendors relationships relative to IT

  • Establish a cadence with all department heads and integrate their needs into digital transformation initiatives, particularly Microsoft Dynamics

  • Provide comprehensive project management for the team, meet deadlines, hold team members accountable to project plans

  • Manage the scope of IT efforts to ensure that the team isn’t spread too thin to accomplish objectives

  • Collaborate with partners to ensure that the client is able to avail itself of the broadest set of ideas and solutions to move the company forward

  • Work with the CFO to identify areas of opportunity across all companies to reduce the cost of acquisition for technology

  • Establish and implement a plan to drive educational / career development initiatives within the IT organization. Ensure that all members of the team are maintaining recency and/or certification in emerging technologies/platforms

  • Provide transparent reporting to management on an ongoing basis (initially weekly) to inform on initiatives and progress

  • Work with finance to establish a comprehensive budget and 2-3 year forecast for IT department costs and associated return on investment

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree, MBA a plus

  • Proven experience in a senior IT managerial role (VP, C-Level)

  • Comprehensive understanding and technical skill set with Microsoft Dynamics

  • Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation

  • Candidate must have some business background and have a solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • A strong strategic and business mindset

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
